Θεωρήσεις Εισόδου (VISA)

Please be informed that the Visa Office of the Italian Embassy in Athens issues national visas allowing non-EU citizens residing in Greece to enter Italy. Applicants must be holders of a valid residence permit issued by the Hellenic Republic ( the Greek Blue Paper/requests of permit of stay will not be accepted ).

The Visa Office of the Consular Offices in Athens receives only by appointment, which must be taken through the Prenot@mi portal. Before reserving an appointment, please verify whether you require a visa by clicking on “Il visto per l’Italia” (Visa for Italy).

Nevertheless, before making a reservation, it is recommended that you contact the Visa Office of this Embassy exclusively by email (ambatene.consolare@esteri.it).

In accordance with the fundamental principles of the European Union, EU citizens are free to move and settle within the territory of the Union. EU citizens therefore do not need an entry visa to reside and work in another EU country.
